To create the animation I will use a Maya camera. This means the P.O.V will be from the cameras perspective. The camera will follow a path. You can move the camera by placing it where you want it and then setting a 'Keyframe' and the camera should begin to move where you want it. You can also use the 'Walk tool' this allows you to recreate the controls similar to a video game, allowing you to walk through the scene. You can do this by going to View - Camera - Tools - Walk tool.
Animation keying of a chair toppling over:
To make an object fall over you need to animate it using keyframes. Keyframes are used to move an object or camera and set that movement to a specific frame so when it plays through the objects move. To make a keyframe you have to select the frame you want it to be on (The frames should be located at the bottom of your workspace) then move the objects you want to move and click S to set the frame. Once you have set your keyframes you can alter the FPS if you want your animation to be sped up or slowed down. I will be using keyframes in my animation for the camera moving as well as objects moving.
